Due to family obligations Valerie Higgins is standing down as Shropshire contact for EO.
Activities arranged will be going ahead as usual and Val will probably continue to help organise outings or activities but as she is unable to be reliably available to be available by phone to give assistance to local families, she feels it best to look for someone who can give that committment.

Event Confirmation Dates
If you are requested to book by a certain date, it usually means that if not enough people want to come the event may have to be cancelled, so please try to confirm in time.

Home Ed Meetings in All Stretton Mayfair
Home Ed Meetings in All Stretton Mayfair group meet on Tuesdays, in term time from 10 til 2 at All Stretton Village Hall as well as making visits and participating in workshops at other sites in the area.
We encourage parents and children to take a proactive role in the group, offering ideas, organising sessions or resources, playing with little ones, supporting bigger ones, washing up and cleaning!

Skating Lessons at Telford Ice Rink January - March 2006
Course of six lessons at Telford Ice Rink, each lesson 5 pounds per Child. Lesson itself is at 11a.m., but having paid you can stay on the ice from 10a.m. until 12.30. This is a public session so anyone not taking part in lessons can if they wish just skate for the normal public session fee.
Lesson dates are Mondays; ***LESSONS ARE NOW AT 11 A.M.***
9 January, 23 January, 6 February, 20 February, 6 March, 20 March.
Please note all skaters must leave the ice by 12.30 unless they have paid to take part in the Tots on Ice session. If skaters continually stay on ice after session ends the rink may refuse to take bookings from our group. Even if no tannoy announcement has been made please ensure you leave ice at the correct time. (Parents can you please remind younger children if not yet reading time themselves).
Beginners are welcome.

Social Skate at Telford Ice Rink
Informal skating sessions for home edders. Monthly, Wednesdays 12.30 - 1.30pm.
January 18, February 8th, March 15, April 26th, May 17th, June 21st, July 19th, No Skating August, September 20th, October 18th November 15th, December 13th.
There are toys for the toddlers to push around and often a hocky game for the older children (plastic hocky sticks not full kit) as well as room for free skating.
Two pounds and thirty pence per child (prices revised April).

Parachute Making at Cosford RAF Museum
Thursday 2 March 11am
We will be charged for materials used which they estimate at costing around 1 pound per child.
Access to the rest of the museum is free.

Map Reading And Orienteering Workshop At 'Secret Hills' Centre, Craven Arms
Tuesday 13 September 2005, 10.30 a.m.
Cost: £3.50 per child, but there will be a discount if sufficient numbers attend.

Please call as soon as possible as a minimum number is required to confirm the booking.

Tile Making Workshop
By popular demand another tile making workshop at Jackfield Tile Museum Telford on Monday 10 October at 1 p.m.
It will cost six pounds per tile made. If you are unable to collect your tiles after firing there will be an additional postage cost to have the tiles sent to you.
Please book with Val by 30 September.

Ironbridge Power Station Visit
Friday 18 November 2005 at 1 p.m.
Book with Val by 12 November.
