This Website is on Google! Do you want yours there? This is the page for you!

I spent a lot of time making this website and I wanted people to see it, the easiest way to start this is to just tell people around you about it and get them to pass it on but there is more you can do for free! (It's not always guaranteed though so don't get overly excited! :oD)
If you would like to see some screenshots of my website on Google, click here.
This page has info for people who are 'hand-typing' their page (ie. writing out the HTML in Notepad/KWrite or whatever and uploading it to the internet). I'm not sure how it works for people using things such as Geocities, Freeweb etc.
Here's some advice (which I got from page tutor!) DON'T spend on getting somebody else to, supposedly, submit your website to 1,000 top search engines or active email addresses or whatever! You can do it yourself (for free on some search engines) anyway!
The first thing you need is META tags on your page. META tags are what the search engines look at first, for example in Google when you see the little caption under the websites name saying what it's about, that is what the webmasters have typed into the DESCRIPTION META tag (or it might be clips from the page instead/too). You also have Keywords and you can tell the Robot (the search engine basically) where you want it to look. That explantion probably doesn't clear that much up so I recommend this
Great Site!

An absolutely fantastic site for HTML is PageTutor.com. I learnt all the HTML I know from there, it covers everything - from simple HTML to Tables to META tags! You can sign up for it and get some extra stuff or you can use it how it is but with adverts (and no access to all areas!)
Here is the link directly to the META tags part of the site. NOTE: You do have to be a member to get the full information about META tags. It is worth it, my site is on Google and it comes up on the first page in certain searches (see the screenshots below).
If you already know about META tags and just want to submit your site to free search engines then all you need to do is, go to my Other Great Sites page (opens in a new window) go to the search engines list and go to each of those search engines and find the Submit Your Site link. All those search engines were free when I submitted my website so they still should be :o) You need to have good but not overly excessive META TAG Keywords because it will help your postion when searching!
Just Remember: Your site might not get onto all or any of the search engines - I don't know how it works but I know it might not get up there! Mine didn't get on to all of them (hopefully, yet!) But it is on Google! And if you would like to see some screenshots of my website on Google, click here.

Good Luck With Your Site :o)
Don't forget the Message Board! (Opens in a new window :oD).
